Cars were built by special order of the Arab prince. Specialists from the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur division worked on the machines - the photos were published on the brand’s Facebook page.

The German coupe 959 is one of our favorite Porsche models. The car was built in the so-called "golden era" of sports cars. The 959 coupe, which was equipped with a twin-turbo engine, was one of the most powerful production cars of the late 1980s, and also became the fastest production car in the world with a top speed of 317 km / h. This is simply phenomenal for 1986!

Although there were several special editions of the 959, including the limited edition 959S with a more powerful 508-horsepower engine and the coupe version for the Paris-Dakar rally, none of them were special enough for some customers.

Back in the late 1980s, Porsche worked hard to create its own dedicated unit, which created models in accordance with customer requests - such a company received the designation Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. At that time, one Arab sheikh used the services of these guys and ordered at least seven unique versions of the 959 model for his collection.

Porsche has posted two instances of the model in this series on its official Facebook page. I must say that these cars are different from everything that we have seen so far. The first in the series is a red car with a red interior and several unique “touches” in the cabin, including the Porsche lettering on a leather steering wheel, a special “decoration” on the gear lever and wooden decorations on the dashboard. Another instance is made in a dark gold shade and received gilded exhaust pipes.

Anyways, do you know that An electric motorcycle speed record set.

The rider Zef Eisenberg managed to accelerate to a record speed of 317 km / h on an electric motorcycle that was built specifically for the TT Zero championship.

The record was set at the Elvington airfield in York in honor of the pilot Daily Matheson, who crashed during a race in June this year on the Isle of Man.

The performance of the electric bike, which was created by specialists from the University of Nottingham, is 255 hp. As noted, for a straight-line race, the motorcycle was reconfigured, as a result of which its average speed reached 297.894 km / h, and the maximum - 317 km / h.

But Eisenberg’s record is currently unofficial, as it must be confirmed by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM). According to the rules, the record speed is calculated by the time for which the rider has overcome a specific distance, and 2 successful arrivals must be completed within an hour.

Eisenberg and the deceased Matheson were members of the same MadMax team. Before arrival, Eisenberg talked with the wife of the late rider to inquire about her opinion regarding his intention to set a world record. She, as he noted, gave her blessing.
